| Founded
by Joseph M. D'Esopo in 1905, the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel has remained family
owned and operated through three generations. Known for their compassion
and service to the community the D'Esopo family remains a leader in funeral
service.
Our professional
and experienced staff realizes that everyone's idea of a meaningful funeral
service is different. We recognize the importance of individualizing
our service to meet the needs of each family. We take great pride
in providing the latest options available for services and merchandise.
Our Funeral Merchandise Center, located in our East Hartford location,
is the only one of it's kind in New England and provides the public with
information on florists, banquet facilities, monument companies and cemeteries
so that families will be able to make informed decisions in one location.
Our staff is familiar with the customs of many different faiths, in order
to ensure personalized attention to detail. We can also assist you
world-wide should a death occur away from home.
Our advanced
Funeral Planning Program is one of the most comprehensive programs available
in funeral service today. We offer free, personal consultations to
simplify the process. We also offer single or monthly payment options (depending
on age) that will guarantee funeral home costs against inflation.
The D'Esopo
Resource Center, the first of it's kind in the country, houses a lending
library filled with helpful resources, educational programs and offers
support groups to help people cope with the grief process. We offer
these services free of charge, in a permanent location separate from the
funeral home. The D'Esopo Resource Center is also the home of the
Barklay and Eve Children's Book Series, which are internationally recognized
resources which explain grief and bereavement to children. The D'Esopo
Resource Center is located at 109 Main Street Wethersfield, CT 860
